We flip your crepes and blend your fruit.

Funny story. While pouring over Coastal Living (my secret love that is basically you-wish-you-were-this-rich-so-that-you-could-live-on-this-beach porn) I came across a piece about the Road to Hana. I pretty much drooled over the entire article and fell in love with every picture that went along with it. There was one picture, though, that made me ggaaaahgghghg all over the place. It was of this little crepe and smoothie stand called Huelo Lookout on the side of the road to Hana. It looked ridiculously adorable and I immediately ran to Ginny and said, "This!! I want to play on the beach and work at this smoothie stand!" She freaked out too because seriously, how awesome would it be to just live in Hawaii, play on the beach and sell smoothies to people?? The answer to that question is SUPER awesome. I honestly started praying that we would be able to work at a little place like that because that would just be idyllic. Yes it would.

Flash forward 6 months to me researching farms to live and work on in Hawaii. I found this incredible little farm on Maui called Huelo (that name seemed so familiar...) In addition to working in the garden on the farm we would also be working at the farm's smoothie stand! I freaked out because if we could work there it would be just like what we wanted when we saw that picture in Coastal Living! I emailed the manager and tra la tra la! We are now working there!

Blahghalahgalhgha future work place!

Knowing that Huelo would be our home for the first few months of our time in Hawaii I started Googling pictures and found all these great photos of the farm's smoothie stand called Huelo Lookout. (You can see where I'm going with this...) Something clicked and I realized why the name Huelo seemed so familiar..because I'd freaking seen it 6 months before! I pulled the Coastal Living magazine out of the recycling bin and found that article on the Hana Highway. HA! It was the exact same place!!! We are going to live and work at our fantasy fruit stand! Yes, "fantasy fruit stand" sounds dramatic but come on, if that's not God just handing us a sweet blessing then I don't know what it is.

And now because it is ridiculously dreary out right now and I want to cry because it's so cold, I leave you with this video:

If you ever find yourself asking "What will Betty and Ginny's life be like in Hawaii?" It will be like this. Hanging out with Sheryl and jumping on the beach while wearing jeans and playing guitar. Normal.
